I really enjoy this book a lot even though it is definitely a bit slower and much less action packed than the others. This one was a bit more on the slower side and follows Dave's story on how he develops his skills and finally masters his transformation, or will he? She comes up with very imaginative plots that have a great pace. The author has a great imagination and knows how to write. I came across this series by accident and have been hooked every since. Sky Ghosts Windweaver is a great continuation of the series written by Alexandra Engellmann. Throughout Windbreaker, we witness Dave search for and find the safe haven Albert sent him in search of, but does it help him like Albert thought it would? Or does it make things worse? Pick this one up to find out. Immeasurable and dangerous power, mixed with debilitating guilt, sorrow, anger and regret is a concoction that lends itself to chaos.

But he can't even function like a normal person himself, understandable given the fact that he's the furthest thing from a normal person now. He's tossed into a world of super-powered beings tasked with protecting humankind from dangers they're wholly unaware of. You can imagine the effect that that would have on a normal man, let alone one who is trying to figure out his place in a world that he didn't think he was truly a part of. Though, if I'm being honest, it's rough to see him struggle with who and what he is now.įor those who don't remember, Dave lost a woman he loved, gained powers he never asked for and ended up killing a man in cold blood.

I can't tell you I was clamoring for a book that centered around Dave, but man am I glad we got one. Absent are the main cast of characters, but we spend the course of Windweaver following Dave as he searches for a place that can help him deal with the fallout of his newfound power and his actions in the previous book. I've been following this series from the get go, and have read (and loved) every entry.
